There is some information about one of the moderators, Aida Darzhanova. Her biography:

Hi, my name is Aida. Originally I’m from Shymkent, the region which people would like to call Texas. Because of it’s warm weather, beautiful nature and hospitable people. I really interested on Human Rights issue, so, that is why my articles mostly about gender equality, reproductive health and youth involvement in that process. Also, I’m a volunteer-trainer of Y-PEER Global Youth Network, where I conduct trainings in interactive form about healthy life style. As a volunteer I worked with different target groups among young people. I saw that many young people changed their behavior after the enduring trainings, especially youngsters from orphanages. Up to now many of them actively involved in our network and are being very successful trainers; they study well in universities and have aims in life. This results and feeling that I can help such young people empowers me to work more and more and publish such achievements in local Mass Media.

Also, for two years I closely worked with orphan children in countryside and together we published youth newspaper named “Zaryad +”, I teached my peers how to make newspapers professionally. Often the topics of the newspaper were healthy lifestyle or gender discrimination in schools.

When I studied at school, I was strongly involved in local TV Channel in South Kazakhstan Oblast; as a result my TV program became the best youth program in 2005 in the International Youth Media Forum “The Ring of Eurasia”.

I always thought that I need to bring something useful for people. Working as volunteer in my region and writing articles topics related to Human Rights, I believe that I am
doing great work for the whole world. The power of every society is in its youth. I am a part of the youth, the motion of progress, and I am proud of being on right way. I believe that together with another young people who are not indifferent of well being of their society will be able to solve problems in different countries that are familiar to all of us. By collaborating with individuals with the sense of positive purpose and enthusiasm we can build a healthy relationship and move forward in solidarity and engage in the work of making a difference in the lives of others. And very important is that we can achieve our main aim to build healthy, happy and well-informed society by active communication, because it’s important especially to me to live and realize my goals in today’s interdependent global world.
